"Janet is one of the most skilled communicators I have met. She came to our school for a teacher training on transgender youth—their experiences, their needs, and how we as educators can best help them. Over the course of a morning, Janet navigated through a difficult subject by showing compassion and a deep sense of empathy. As a transgender teacher, I sat in awe as an ally described my experiences more eloquently than I think I ever could. This not only shows how deeply she cares, but it reveals how deeply she dives into something and learns about it.
